It depends on what they are having. I know that the seafood buffet is a little expensive. But great food.
Yes. Ate lunch there yesterday
Until 10:30am
No ma'am not today. We are closed until Thursday. I'm sorry.
But that breakfast tho😍😍
$9.99 for lunch buffet. It was worth it. Amazing home cooked food
6:00am to 10:00am
The food is good but they need to add more options.
Overpriced and just not that good. Not "bad" but just not worth it in quality, presentation, nor selection of non-fried healthier alternatives. Might go back but not in a rush.
Love to stop in for their breakfast Bar. Wonderful
Great service and yummy food
Good food and great service.. awesome place
I liked the food the decor needs some updating especially for the price.
Good old southern cooking. The restaurant is packed when we were there. Obviously a local favorite. The food is what you'll expect in a restaurant like this. Fried chicken, liver, and various vegetables cooked country style all served buffet style. For lunch, $9.99 comes with coffee or tea. Desserts look good but I did not try. My husband had the banana pudding but wasn't too impressed with it.The decor looked dated but the restaurant looks clean. The ladies restroom was well stocked but the men's restroom was not. Overall, a good place to stop while traveling through Troy, Alabama.
I've been to many restaurants with southern style food and this type of setup. The fish was really good. I like to also rate restaurants by their sauces. Ranch was just right. Tartar was a favorite. Desserts were delicious. This was almost a 5 star but the mashed potatoes tasted like the instant kind. Also, there was a crab or lobster salad of some kind that didn't make the cut.
Food was very good. Price had been changed from 8.99 to 10.99 which is kinda high for a buffet like this. The kids price was only half that so $5.50 for 3 year old that was with us.
The salad bar full of almost empty ,what is there was frozen on bottom.hot bar had very little food in pans.just not appealing to the eye.great service
Open! And excellent breakfast
Good variety and service. Will go back again.
Fantastic 10/10. Cafeteria style buffet with huge portions at a fair price. Definitely coming back.
Friendly staff and service. Buffet is fresh, and refilled quickly.Has all the southern breakfast fixings you crave.
Hands down the best country buffet i have had in my life everything was good great service if i am ever through troy Alabama again this place is a must never thought i would say this but their banana pudding was as close to gramals as i ever had and thats saying alot lol
The food here was great. The service excellent.
Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. They even offer seafood buffet on Fridays.
Oh my! Wonderful home cooked food. Buffet $9.99. it had meatloaf, fried chicken, catfish, baked chicken, turnip greens, blackeye peas, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried okra, salads, desserts.. so much food to choice from. Highly recommend!!!
Great food the macaroni and cheese was the best I've tasted!
Found this establishment near Troy Alabama. Took a chance. We we're so glad we did. It was a very friendly all you can eat -high quality southern dining. Price was 9.99 for lunch which was reasonable. My favorite was the home-made desserts. Had a large variety of pies and cobblers. Even had chocolate pie. Ms. Heather was our waitress and treated our special needs child very well, playing silly games that my son initiated. Would highly recommend it you are in the area.
Great selection of food cook southern style great family atmosphere great waitresses I give it a 5 but if I could I would give it a 10
Quiet a few choices on the buffet. However, most of the meats were over cooked. If you are a big eater $10.39 was not a bad price, but for people with small appetites it's highway robbery. Maybe a senior discount or a one trip price.
Very good! 👍
Fish was great, mashed potatoes and gravy and fried okra were perfect, cocktail shrimp was overcooked. Excellent service.
I have to be honest. Julia's is a guilty pleasure that my girlfriend tolerates. It is a small buffet that serves breakfast and lunch. Can't speak for the dinner because I've never had it. It's almost exclusively fried, heavily buttered, or covered in gravy. Or all three! Live crazy! This is a judgement free cholesterol and diabetes party. But try to get in early, because this food is not designed to sit in a chafing dish for hours. And they regularly reuse the unfinished dessert the next day. You have been warned.
Very good food and friendly people
It was our 1st time there. We was celebrating my daughter's getn her masters in criminal justice. The food was great had a nice variety of soul food. We had corn bread patties, rutabagas, field peas, mac & cheese, collards, chicken pork chop, salad, desserts the family really enjoyed. Will b going back 2 Troy Alabama.
Nice bar and menu type...alright place to go eat...give it a try...when in town
Delicious! Tried tomato gravy for the 1st time, my husband loved it!! Their breakfast buffet was really good!!
During the peak buffet times, this place is great. But at 3:00pm you might not have such good choices but at least it's there. And I know all that, and I go there during these slack times and it's decent. My complaint is that they charge you by the amount of food you have left over in your plate when you leave. They charged my grandfather and I've heard them ask several times about others. I always clean my plate anyway. While this is likely a rule I would prefer to have if I owned it, it's a little strange.....so expect it. My rating is for prime buffet times (7am/12pm/7pm). They are polite and service is PDQ so I always leave a good tip.
Good food tea or coffee with all you can eat for one price
The place was very busy at lunch time. The food was good the there was plenty of it. However, I was concerned about how clean it was (or wasn't). Bathrooms were dirty. Makes me wonder about the kitchen.Staff was helpful.
Pretty good breakfast buffet. The staff was SUPER friendly. Definitely will stop again next time we are headed to the beach!
Good old fashioned food for a great price. Awesome service!
Sub par. Imitation crab on salad was nasty. It was dried out and couldn't tell what it was by eating it. I had to spit it out. It used to be a much better place in the past. Go to two sisters.
Very good food. I especially enjoyed the turkey, dressing, gravey, mashed potatoes, and banana pudding. All was homemade. The food selections were limited compared to other buffets. The restaurant was crowed and busy which is usually an indicator of good food.
Oh...so disappointed you aren't open on Sunday! I'm passing thru from Michigan on my way to Florida for the next 6 months, and was excited to see your road signs north of town. Color me 😦.
The food is great and the staff is very pleasant and make you feel welcome
This is a very typical southern restaurant. Everyone seemed to know everyone else. You have the choice of eating a Buffet or a menu. The menu is very sparse and although it looked good, we felt the Buffet to be a little pricey. We may go back sometime and try the buffet. Worth a try.
Walked in. Seated within 2 minutes. Drinks within 2 minutes. Food was excellent. Desserts are phenomenal. If you are in Troy, eat here. No contest.
Good food worth every penny
Great Southern food and friendly staff
Great food. Awesome green beans, deep fried pork jowls. Fried cat fish to die for. Yum yum glad I stopped and got me some!
Good food. Buffet style. Home cooked and fresh. A definite stop if you're passing through
The cafeteria style dining is great. The waitresses top-notch perfect setting for a small family.
Driving through Memphis and happened upon this gem. Friday night is seafood buffet night, so we had some catfish, shrimp (the best fried shrimp I’ve had), clam strips along with steak, okra, fried pickles, etc! All the entrees and sides were delicious and hot. The best part? The desserts! We tried 4 different desserts of strawberry shortcake, banana pudding, coconut pie, and soft serve ice cream. Banana pudding=best I’ve ever had. All the servers were extremely friendly, polite, and prompt. Will definitely stop by next time we come through!
We were coming from Tennessee back to Florida and say Julia's Restaurant and decided to stop and try their lunch buffet. The food was EXCELLENT!! The service was great and everyone was really friendly. I definitely have no complaints. I wish I lived closer to them 😭 I would for sure go back!!
Great little place. Good food great service & descent prices
Excellent down home Southern food! Clean place and the staff is great!! Super sweet folks!! Awesome price for a quality menu!! Never disappoints!
This is a buffet-style restaurant that is open for breakfast and supper. Every time we go, the place is busy but not to the point you feel like you have to quickly eat and leave. Waitresses are always coming around to refill your drink and take away the empty plate. The food is always good and if you walk away hungry, it's your own fault. Yes, you can get a take-out box. A server will get a styrofoam box and fill it as you accompany her along the buffet line.Julia's is a great place to eat and is a favorite of many of the local folks.
